In early March, two workers were working on thirteen stories above the ground on a building on Nepperhan Avenue in Yonkers when the scaffold they were standing on collapsed. The scaffold collapse was caused by a failing motor in addition to the wind. Luckily, these workers were harnessed and securely fastened. Trained and experienced firefighters arrived immediately to rescue the panicking men who were getting hypothermic and developing harness compression syndrome.
